Rodrigo waved to Takezou as he walked in, then stood across from Ichiro and assumed what could liberally be considered a fighting stance. He looked more ready for a street brawl than a martial arts spar.

"Come at me with all you have, just like last time Kobushi-san," Ryuha says, staying in the same stance, keeping her footwork solid. If she was going to get better, she'd have to be able to dodge a blow from someone putting their all into it.

He nods. And takes a swing. It connects, landing squarely on her shoulder. She wanted his full force, so he gave her the best he had. He takes a shot at her shoulder, enough to sting a little, but not to injure. If he was trained to not hold back, it could just be luck that kept him from making a more solid hit. OOC: TN is 5. |

Ryuha staggers a little from the impact, takes a few steps forward, but then lowers her bokken with a smile.
"Good hit," she compliments, rubbing at her shoulder with her free hand. "That one might leave a bruise in the morning."
Then she looks over to the Shinjo who had just entered. "Looks like we have even more company."

He turns to notice who she was looking at, and sees the Shinjo. "Seems we do."
Then he turns back to her, along with stepping back a little so they're not too close.
"And thanks for the compliment. Hard getting those out of you, isn't it?" He smiles. For now, he's alright with forgetting the odd behavior earlier. Won't even ask unless she thinks to bring it up. "I haven't had to work that hard to hit anyone in a while."

Ryuha allows herself a bit of a chuckle.
"It probably seems that way, right? People have mentioned as much before; I guess its just a bit foreign to me is all. Maybe I'll get used to it." The Dragon shrugs. "I am trained in the Shiba Bushi School. We take pride in being hard to hit."

"Well, you know what they say. You don't value anything that you didn't earn," he says, clearly trying to reassure Ryuha that her behavior wasn't bad. "I haven't fought any Shiba before, so I guess I'll be using you as a benchmark if I ever run into one."
"Hey, uhh, sorry for the crowd. When people started showing up before you did, I couldn't exactly find a way to ask them to leave politely and I wasn't sure if you'd be comfortable with a crowd."

Ichiro settled into a martial stance his weight distributed and held one hand out and signaled for Rodrigo to come at him. "Lets see what you've learned."
