He watches the fidgeting. He isn't sure what to make of it, so he makes what he thinks is a decent assumption. That she is not as comfortable with crowds as she claims. What else could it be?

Ryuha lets her ponytail go, moving on to tapping her foot with the bokken. Yet that only makes her notice how fidgety she is being now, so she sets the wooden sword to the side and fetches her water bottle.
"Oh, yeah sure. I'm really fine with either, honestly," she says quickly with a wave of her hand. "I think it's pretty fun too." She hums to herself for a second, looking over Kobushi.
"What else do you do for fun, besides beat up on girls?"

Well the gaijin's speed and reflexes were certainly useful in martial arts ichiro parried the blow and struck Rodrigo's ribs lightly. Enough to feel but not enough to do any permanent damage. "you're right of course training is incredibly useful but having natural talent gives you a great place to start." Ichiro nodded and reset. "Now try to defend against this assault." He waited until the gaijin boy settled into a passable stance, something to work on, Ichiro darts in and feints a strike at Rodrigo's face and then sweeps at his legs attempting to knock the boys feet out knowing the padded training floor wouldn't be much of a fall.
