The last time Hisui was on a date, there was an unfair advantage. She didn't know it was a date until halfway through. This time, there was no ambiguity. This was explicitly a romantic date, and she would be better prepared for it than she was last time. It wasn't every night she had a chance to show off or impress her girlfriend. She'd make the most of the opening provided her, a sign of the tactical officer she used to be rising to the force once more. The first step is the dress. Slightly Gothic in design, cut to accentuate her shapely figure. Delicate gloves, suitable for some sort of formal event. Rich Unicorn purple matched with more formal, stylish black. Looking at herself in the mirror, she initially worries it's overkill. After a bit, she decides it isn't. It is, in fact, just-enough-kill. She puts on lavender-scented perfume. Nothing overwhelming, but enough to add a little spice to her scent. As a final touch, thought of on a whim, she pins a flower to her hair. The flower itself isn't special. The color, though, with its Crane blue petals, is more important, she thinks. The dress was in her Clan's colors, but she couldn't bring herself to prepare without a touch of her Crane darling added to the whole thing. She offers a last-minute prayer of thanks to the small Death shrine she'd set up in her room. She looks at the picture of herself with her children. "Wish me luck, you two." All that's left was to wait for Doji Fuyuko .

Fuyuko arrives, wearing a bright blue Gothic dress, a pastel loligoth with a mens vest on top tight enough to show off her assets and a large poofy dress. She wears a small sideways tiny top hat as well as her eye-patch and a empty monocle in her other eye, dressed in a more industrial goth aesthetic this tie. However she does have a light purple flower tucked into her vest and is holding a unicorn purple parasol which adds the touch of her lovers color. She spray herself with a perfume she bought in Unicorn land, the smell of peaches. And walks over to her girls door, hoping she appreciated the more masculine fashion as she raps on the door.

Hisui is practically at the door when she hears the sound. In no time at all, it opens.
She pauses, lets the sight sink in. The style was very much expected in some ways, and a complete surprise in others. The vest and its cut made her bite her lower lip, and the dress was a fine complement to it. She remembered the mention of a tiny sideways hat, but the monocle caught her by surprise. And then the Unicorn purple parasol and flower. We had the same idea. The perfume, that delicate scent of peaches, just topped it all off so well. Like a cherry on top of a sundae or the twist in the final line of a well-crafted haiku.
"I'm almost tempted to skip dinner," she says. "I could stare at you for hours."

Fuyuko pauses as well, enjoying the lovely gothic dress, the way the colors danced on her, the scent of lavander on the Unicorn and the flower, that little flower. "We have all dinner to do that, If we don't go soon I might eat you right here, and then I would have to stand up my lovely date." she teases extending her arm for the other woman to take.

"Oh my."
The blush. So red. So rich. And so readily surrendered at the implication in Fuyuko's words. Evidently she's pictured it in her mind, even for a brief moment. Just long enough for it to get the blood pumping. She defends her dignity by taking the offered arm, adjusting for the difference in height with hardly any effort. She thanked the Fortunes she remembered not to wear heels. Which she could barely walk on anyway.
She takes out her phone and sends a quick message.
"I've told the car to get to the main gate to pick us up," she explains as she lets the Crane lead them out of the quarters and out into the evening air. "It's amazing how easy it is to rent a limo for a few hours in this city."
"Oh, by the way. Did you ever get those CDs I left by your door? I'd hate to think they never made it to you."

Fuyuko takes the arm, walking with her parasol as a cane on her free hand as she smiles up at her beautiful tall fortune. "Ah! But still parading me around the quarters first. Tactical. There will be rumors. Let them talk, I don't care." she says softly before she blushes. "I did, I listen to them while practicing my dueling. You have such a beautiful voice. I wish I could sing with you."

"Well, why not? I want them to see I've laid claim to the Dark Doji, the Best Girl in the school," she says as they walk through the quarters, heading for the door. "Let every man and some women be jealous."
"I could teach you, if you like?" she offers. "No one in my family can sing. Except Mako-chan. It's...well, it's our little special connection. I have one for every member of my family."
"I'm curious, darling. Did you have a favorite song?"

Fuyu blushes lightly, hidden by the makeup. "Oh my, well then let them all be equally jealous of my prize." she says with that mischivious smile.
"I don't know if my voice would work for it. But I would not want to steel that one. Let us find our own special connection, whatever it is. Something we can both do together hmm? Oh favorite? I like the one about the two Samurai dueling best. The last one was more romantic but, well we didn't meet at your show."

Mischief! She didn't quite expect to see that, but she was glad for it. Hisui could have a bit of mischief herself, given that she associated with a trickster spirit. "I'm sure many of them will weep at the sight of us," she says as the pair begin to pass within sight of the girls dorm.
"I remember singing on the roof of that dorm. More than once, in fact."
"And if you can't sing, we'll find another connection. Perhaps swordsmanship? I don't know iai, but I have kept my kenjutsu at something resembling competence. But I don't know about the same of you," she suggests, though her tone says she would be eager to hear of Fuyuko's other hobbies. "And that is a lovely song, yes. I thought of you when I picked it out. I thought it would speak to you more personally. In the end, they picked a younger singer to use it."
"I was too old to break into the industry, they said. And my injuries meant I was ill-suited for the physicality of promotional tours."

Fuyuko blinks and raises her brow "That was you? I was so annoyed by that! It was beautiful but my temper was far worse back then." she says with an amused smile. "And swordsmanship or perhaps something else. We will have to find a common ground but we have time to do so. Poetry perhaps? But really? Hah idiots. Your voice is wonderful, if they didn't accept it that was their loss and stupidity." she pausus a moment, an odd look flashing over their eyes. "If they offended you, I could kill them for you?"
