Kobushi takes the time to center himself. Stop pondering events from last night, that morning with the Otomo, or even why his mind keeps thinking about Ryuha. He just tries to focus on a potter's wheel, the feel of the clay in his hands. The emptiness of thought that comes with his craft. His first strike was less than ideal. His second strike is exactly the same. Much to his frustration. His third and last strike is the worst of the lot. But he tries not to let things get to him. He has time to improve. He does, however, feel somber enough that he bows to Rodrigo and Isao, rather than greet them more jovially.

"Quite well, Roduregu-san! Looking forward to meeting some others interested in Iaido," he explained, clearly happy. He dropped off his martial arts bag next to a wall on the side of the dojo. He had changed beforehand for the club (he was a bit of a traditionalist in that regard) into a hakama and kendogi, preferring to be barefoot on the dojo floor. Remembering the lessons from Fuyuko's class, he offered her respect to the banners and put his daisho on the rack - just in case.

Sakura quietly makes her way into the room. She looks around to see who else is there, clearly curious.

Rodrigo watched Isao and tilted his head.
"May I ask what you're doing?"
His eyes drifted to the banners as he tried to puzzle out what was happening.

"Oh! Well, Doji-sensei wanted us to show respect to the Kakita and Mirumoto school banners in class, so I wanted to make sure I adhere to her expectations even if we're not in her class. It's a respect thing - acknowledging the families and schools who are well known for their contributions to the art form. Does that make sense?"

"Oh! Yeah, I get it. Respecting those who advance the craft, yeah?"
Rodrigo nodded, and then went to bow before the banners as well.

Fuyu watches the two try out with patience before she nods, going to replace any popped balloons. "You both have scores which are good enough for the team so far. Most people have been unable to land strikes." she offers before she bows to Isao and Rodrigo and Sakura. "This one thanks you for your respect to the banners. This one finds that honoring those who advance the craft allows us to see beyond school or legacy or family or feud to find truth at the end of our blade. We duel to find that truth, whether it favors us or not, we are but the instruments for detection."

Isao offered Fuyuku a deep.
"Wise Sensei is wise," he chirped. He looked to where Kobushi and others were testing themselves on the dummy. "So, what is the test, Sensei?"

Rodrigo smiled and nodded at Fuyuko. No need to let her know he understood about half of what she just said. Seeing what the others had done, he went to grab a bokken and started trying to hit them. His first strike was a bit clumsy, but he managed to pop the balloon. His second strike was a bit more precise as he seemed to get the hang of it. His third strike was easily the best of them, striking with surprising speed and precision for a beginner. He looked over the dummy and, satisfied with his work, chuckled. "Well, I think I killed a dummy."

Surprised at that, Kobushi can only bow in the deepest respect. Clearly, that lesson in musical chairs and the Mirumoto's insights on the matter were more effective than he thought.
