(Day 4 Club Day) Iaido Tryouts

Rodrigo overheard Noburu and suddenly he felt a flash of anger go through him. To talk so disrespectfully to someone trying to teach him? And to say he hated Isao, one of Rodrigo's friends? He had restrained himself before, but he couldn't now. He glared at Noboru.

"Oh, I didn't realize you were better than the teacher and almost a third of the people in the room. My apologies for not showing you the proper respect before, Dickhead-sama."

Rodrigo bowed low with a flourish, clearly being sarcastic.

Sakura closes her eyes, centering herself, before turning her attention to Noboru, "They are not their clan's leadership, cousin. The ones responsible are not the Crane here. We owe them Courtesy, even if their kin have been less than perfectly courteous to our Clan. After all, if we respond to insult with further insult, we descend to the level of children. We are samurai, adults who have completed their gempuku. Shouldn't we strive to be better?"

Fuyuko snaps her look back to Rodrigo. "Rodrigo-san! A Samurai shows courtesy to all, even those who do not show it to them. Remember this if you wish to learn our ways." While she is watching the others, trying to get an idea of their talent there is a situation to diffuse. "Mirumoto-san. Your words are honest, but they are barbed. This one advises you leave now before you create a situation you do not wish to be in. This one will also NOT have you insulting her students. Regardless of their clan. Keep that in mind for the future, you will not be welcome in this club which is a pity. You are talented and skilled, and you will need the practice. Actions like yours will keep this feud boiling long after this one is gone. Now please leave."

Noboru looked over at Rodrigo at the outburst and rolled his eyes. He looks like he wants to say something of his own, but merely shakes his head as he's instructed out. He goes to collect his belongings, but not before getting a few words of his own in.

"Sensei, this club itself is an affront of iaijutsu. Iaijutsu is a sacred art, and yet too many join it for the glory and not to honor it. I've even seen some, like Kakita Ibu, use their position in it to try and intimidate others. After all, who wants to duel the iaido club captain and how does that reflect on the rest of us?"

He then glanced to Sakura, offering tersely, "Don't pretend to have walked my path, cousin. I've seen what they consider..."

Noboru pauses then bows to the entire room. Once his belongings are gathered the Mirumoto mutters under his breath, "I knew it was a waste of time to come here."

(OOC: For those wondering, and especially for anyone who is a second or third year in the school, Kakita Ibu is the name of the student who Noboru broke the hand of the previous year. At this point a faceless NPC since part of Noboru's back story had him as a third year. Overall an unimportant name drop!)
