Isao stood back and watched the rest of the competition to see who would be named the Kendo Club Captain.

Ryouko bowed to the teacher, before shaking her head. "I'm sorry, sensei, I'm afraid I have no interest in being a captain as I am hoping I will be able to captain the Horsemanship Club. If you wish for me to participate anyway then I will, but otherwise I would like to simply watch."

"Of course, Utaku-san. But it never hurts to have a chance to hone one's skills," Aiko replies.

Ryouko bowed back to the teacher. "Of course, Sensei." The Unicorn said, before moving to grab one of the school bokken. Not having expected to spar today she hadn't been carrying her own scimitar-style training sword. She took her stance before Mirumoto Ryuha, offering the other girl a bow and a smile. "I look forward to it." She stayed still for a moment, switching her feet to a more appropriate katana-style stance. It had been some time since she'd used this type of weapons, though it wasn't as if she never had. Her dark eyes stayed on the Dragon, but she couldn't quite react fast enough as the other girl sprung into action, and she felt the sharp slap of the wood against her shoulder. Ryouko conceded the strike, jumping a few feet back quickly and raising her weapon in a more defensive posture. Kendo sparring match: 8d10ro1o10k3 24

Ryuha gives Ryouko a nod of acknowledgement, happy to test her skills against a new opponent. She launches into another series of attacks, familiar to the ones before and near equally as fast. (47 - orokos.com/roll/594957)

Once more, the Dragon's blade found it's mark, slapping lightly against Ryouko's side. The Unicorn worn a frown of concentration, wordlessly acknowledging the hit before resuming her stance. It was obvious the girl was a bit awkward with the katana, at least to those who had seen her fight before. Kendo sparring match: 8d10ro1o10k3 20

Ryuha strikes once more after returning to center, but would the slower series of attacks be enough to close out the match? (33 - orokos.com/roll/595029)

An opening! Ryouko took advantage of the girl slowing slightly, Twisting out of the way of the Dragon's blow to land one of her own on her shoulder. She was careful not to hit with too much strength and quickly retreated after the hit, calling it clearly. She didn't smile, her expression fixed in a mask of concentration. Ryuha cannot help but smile though. If she wanted to have a proper rematch with Ichiro, she'd need to be better. Hopefully the next set of attacks were just that, as she thrusted towards Ryouko with her bokken. (40 - orokos.com/roll/595119)
