Tarik al-Menjari Utaku RyoukoMirumoto Noboru sat in the middle of the dojo, daisho placed in front of him as he meditates on the day's earlier events. The blades are peace bonded as required by school rules and at his hip is a shinai. For now, he silently waits for his tutoring lesson to begin.

He had used iaijustu as an excuse to get some me time with Hoshi-kun's last cover. They had a brief chat on Friday and he wasn't particularly impressed by the Dragon but in the end that was irrelevant. If he was to be her boyfriend, he needed help. If only to keep her happy. So alongside Utaku Ryouko he entered the dojo. He had brought appropriate cloth and he finally visited his dorm room to change into them before coming here. He approached him and bowed. "Peace and Prosperity Mirumoto-san. Allow me to thank you for accepting my invitation last night and for joining me this noon."

Ryouko had yet to decide what she thought of Noboru. First impressions had been... pretty bad. But the young man obviously knew how to fight, and he'd been nice enough to compliment her at the party.
So when Tarik mentionned Iajutsu trainning during lunch-time,she'd agreed more out of curiosity then any real interest for the sport. She entered after the gaijin, bowing her head in greeting at the Dragon. "Good day, Mirumoto-san. Have you had rice?"

Noboru stood from his meditations, collecting his daisho and affixing it to his hip before bowing to both Tarik and Ryouko, demeanor neutral.
"Tarik-san, Utaku-san." At least he could get the boy's name right now. "I have had Inari's blessings today. I hope he has likewise been generous in his blessings to you both."

"We grabbed a sandwich before joining you." He replied. "Thank you for asking. Your interest is heartwarming." He replied.
"How have you been?"

The Dragon seemed uncomfortable chit-chatting, which made it interesting that he'd even offer to tutor the gaijin student. How was he supposed to explain anything if he couldn't get past his own discomfort.
"Hotei," he sighed a little, "has been fickle but I think I've been worse. You?"

Ryouko, perhaps sensing the young man's discomfort or maybe simply not caring for the chit chat herself, moved away from the two men. She had her own odd-looking bokken with her and she fell in a series of slow kata, stretching carefully. She still half-payed attention to what the two were chatting about, but it was clear she didn't have much interest in Iajutsu and would probably be doing her own things unless they tried to involve her.
For now, she was content to lose herself in the exercise.

Tarik smiled at the Dragon.
"Well I like bein restless, so I guess all good." He looked at Ryouko before his attention returned to Noboru.
"Shall we begin?"

Noboru nodded though his eyebrow quirked at Tarik's comment about being restless before flitting over to Ryouko. If he knew the gaijin was engaged to Reiha and seeing the Utaku it would probably not end well; good thing he doesn't. Instead, the Mirumoto nodded then looked over to Ryouko. "You're free to join as well, Utaku-san. Even if you never use iaijutsu a day in your life, as bushi we're both expected to be able to defend our honor or the clan's honor if a situation demands it."
Which began his first lesson. "And I hope, for both of your sakes, that it never does and that I never have to enter another duel as long as I live."

"I have that covered." He responded to the Dragon.
"I have already a champion if something like that comes up. Personally I do not plan to ever duel anyone. Still it's a part of the local culture and I must understand it."
