Nade took a quick look around the clearing once more before pulling a small blanket out of her bag. She placed it on the ground before slowly stripping down right there, eyes ever vigilant in case someone else showed up. It wasn't long until the Unicorn was in her underwear, her clothes folded up nearly next to her as she pulled out another of her seemingly impossible amount of costumes. This one was another school uniform but obviously from the girls middle school, it seemed she hadn't quite grown a lot in the last few years.
It didn't long to slip into it and switch out her hair ribbons for something a lot more cutesy. The whole thing made her look several years younger... and just ripe for the 'monster' to snack on.
"Okay Nomen" she whispered, hopefully towards where her Ninja friend was "I'm going to stand out there now, be vigilant."

Nomen had moved, a little. Only to be closer to Nade, on the other side of her, to get a better view of the Unicorn girl as she stripped.
"Ready" she whispered, a lot closer than Nade would have expected (and the entirely wrong side of course).

Ohhh, she wished Nomen would stop doing that, sneaking up and scaring her. It left her shivering slightly as she stepped into the centre of the clearing and slowly around as the mood disappeared behind a cloud for a few moments.
"Oh no, how foolish of me. Me, a cute little girl getting lost in the woods all by myself" she started, fidgeting nervously as she glanced around the clearing once more "It would be... be... be terrible if some evil monster were to come find me and eat me~ I'm just oh so tasty and delicious."
Her voice was clearly wavering near the end there, the girls fright overcoming her determination to solve the mystery.
"I'm totally... totally alone and uhh.. completely defenseless"

Nomen continued to follow from behind the trees. She didn't believe there would be any little girl stealing monster here....well, other than Nomen herself, who was considering a different kind of eating of the cute little Unicorn girl right now.
Does she really think she's believable with the 'tasty and delicious' comment? Well, I guess she isn't lying...
Nomen crept around slowly, staying out of sight, but looking out to see if anything came around. Just in case.

There was a sound in the bushes, a rustling that drew the Unicorns attention. With deep trepidation she took several steps towards it, holding out her flashlight just in time for the owl to swoop down and attempt to grab a mouse at her feet. All Nade saw however was a pair of glowing eyes from the flashlight and a set of wicked talons coming at her. The girl SCREAMED at the sight and out of complete reflex threw the other thing she had been carrying for protection at the owl. Nomen would see an ordinary paper plane launch from Nades hand... hit the owl... It took a moment to process what happened next. From a cloudless sky a bolt of lightning cascaded down to envelop the poor owl and leave it a charred mess. The thunder rumbled out from the point of impact deafening the poor Unicorn. Stamina: 3d10k3: 10 Nadeshiko's hair was completely on end, sticking out like a glorified afro as she stumbled back a few steps and landed flat on her ass, staring at the smouldering corpse of what had been an owl only a few moments before. |

Nomen had rushed forward at the scream, coming to a stop at the BOLT OF LIGHTNING that killed the evil owl. Owls are the evilest creatures in the world after all!
"Well, I think you won" she commented, looking at Nade as she fell down, dropping down to one knee behind her and poking her cheek. With Nade being deafened of course, it meant Nomen may have accidentally snuck up on the girl once more...

Nomen should be glad Nade is out of that particular Meishodo since the high pitched scream that escaped her lips at the poke signalled that the girl was still completely full of adrenaline and fear.
She twisted around with a familiar slap bracelet in her hand, managing to stop moments before whapping Nomen with it. A sheepish look crossed her face as she slowly put it away and tears started to drip down her cheeks.
She collapsed forward into her friend then, resting her cheek against the Scorpions bosom as she spoke entirely too loud thanks to being deafened.
"NOMEN! YOU... THAT WASN'T YOUR FAULT THIS TIME. I KILLED IT! THOUGH I THINK IT WAS AN OWL AN NOT A MONSTER. THOUGH IF A MONSTER IS OUT HERE I PROBABLY SCARED IT AWAY."

Nomen winces, rubbing her ears. That was rather loud...she wrapped her arms round Nade, hugging her.
"Um...are you ok? I think you'll scare any monsters away with your shouting. Also thank you for not hitting me with that bracelet, I'm really not a fan" she chuckled.

"I CAN BARELY HEAR A THING YOU'RE SAYING" she yells out, her healing finally starting to improve as the requisite 2 rounds pass.
"Oh goodness, that was... I've done that before but not that close before. The owl had it coming, it attacked me! you saw it right?"
She mutters for a few moments as she holds close to Nomen before getting to her feet unsteadily. Her fingers move up to brush down her hair, working it back into place from its statically induced froness.
"Well, you came out of nowhere too... but I recognized you! Aren't you special Nomen~"

"Thank you for recognizing me and not frying me, Nade-nyan" Nomen chuckled, standing as well "I asked if you were ok. You beat the evil owl, so don't worry! Everyone knows owls are creatures of pure evil, so you've saved the world once more flower detective!"
She moved behind the girl, helping her with her hair.
"However if there was any other monsters, they'll have fled the woods never to return."
