"Well it seems I solved the case" she slumps back slightly against Nomen, still slightly frazzeled from the whole ordeal. She doesn't seem to mind as her hair is teased back into place.
"Don't worry, it wouldn't have zapped you. I only had one of those, at least for now. You would have just been slowed again. Anyways, I am okay, my hearing is back and the ringing should be gone by morning. I'm glad you were here though, that owl would have been a lot scarier without you watching my back"

"Hey, you know you're never alone" Nomen said quietly, moving her hands from the girls hair to wrap her arms round her stomach, resting her head on Nade's shoulder "I'm always happy to be here with you. I'm your sidekick after all" she placed a kiss on the girls cheek "want me to help you get back to the dorms...or find something else for you to think about?"

A soft coo escaped her lips as those arms wrapped around her waist and those lips pressed to her cheek for a moment.
"Well, we should at least maybe bury the owl. It's not nice to just leave it here after uhh... ruining it. We'll need to get a shovel though, that's the one thing I didn't bring."

"It's a bit of a trek, can't you ask the kami to make a hole? You're giving back to the earth, that should make them happy, right" Nomen shrugged, nuzzling the girl gently and giving her a squeeze.

It took the unicorn a few moments to collect herself before she knelt down besides the owl and the charred spot on the ground. "Oh Kami of the earth, I beseech thee to take this poor creature back unto your bosom and forgive me for my sins for ending it's life" Commune - Earth: 4d10o10k3: 22 She waits then, staring at the ground with baited breath until it heaves to slowly draw the owl's body deep within, sealing it in a tomb to return it to the earth from whence it came. |

"...That was pretty creepy. Maybe it was a kami that was taking the kids? Pulling them into the earth below us."

"The earth kami are very... forward and matter of fact. This was the easier to complete the task I asked of them and so they did it. Now the owl will slowly decompose and return to nutrients, those nutrients will enrich the soil and create new life. It's a whole circle. Now though, I've probably scared off every monster in the woods so tonight is sort of bust. Is there anything else you wanted to do Nomen?"

Nade flushed slightly at how forward Nomen was, head twisting slightly to peck the ninja girl on the cheek.
"Well, mmmmm. I guess that explains why I remember last night, it's all still a bit fuzzy though. I had uhh several drinks. I'll think about it~ but we should get away from the scene of the crime first yeah? Don't need anyone asking too many questions"

"Today we'll have to try it sober" Nomen replied, as softly as before, as she roe and helped Nadeshiko to her feet.
"Ok, let's collect your clothes and head back. You don't have to change again, but I won't complain if you want to" she grinned
