Tsuki looked over to Yoshi, a look of surprise and humor in his phrasing. She says nothing however, considering he had quickly recovered and he was currently redder then a rose. "That is a possibility, though I honestly can't say. If it's the former I think our task will be a bit harder. I don't know about you, Yoshi-san, but I certainly lack the ability to have any control over my dreams, let alone even remember them."
With a soft frown, she looked back to the air kami and prepared her second question. "Kami of the air, does the event of the Fortune of Heroes statue cracking bode as a good omen, or a bad one?"

"Yes." the childlike voice replies. "From all perspectives, it is." The giggling begins anew as the kami continue to play with Tsuki's hair and Yoshi's sleeves. "For the children of Ningendo, it is up to each to decide."
The chanting of multiple children echoes in the room. "Up to each! Up to each! Everyone get's a choice!"

The sound of children chanting from within the temple pulls Koshiro's attention. "... What the heck... Are there kids visiting the campus temples?" He tilts his head a bit, then heads in to see what's going on inside. When he gets there though, instead of children, he sees Yoshi and Tsuki.
"Err, hello," he greets them with a bow, still clutching his toolbox in hand. "Sorry to interrupt. Thought I heard kids in here."

"Oh, Koshiro-san!" Yoshi says with a start, having been enraptured by Tsuki's beauty as well as the awe-inspiring experience of hearing the voices of the kami. Giving the ronin a small bow, he continues, "What you heard was Kakita Tsuki-san communing with the air kami, trying to determine the reason for a statue to have broken here yesterday. Tsuki-san, this is my friend Koshiro. He's another First Year, and he works maintenance on campus."

"Ah, so it was a statue that was broken yesterday, hmm? Guess that answers that question." Koshiro nods at Yoshi, then bows again towards Tsuki. "I've seen you in Taryu Jiai Club, though we've never spoken. Your match with the imperial was a good one." Tsuki might remember him as the guy with the pirate ship avatar.

And like that her questions were used and the air kami were off. Tsuki's hair fell back down, the invisible breezes that so tangled themselves in those jet black strands gone, and gravity to pull it back down without interruption. With a sigh, the woman took the band and pulled her hair back up into a quick pony tail before turning and bowing to Koshiro."
"It is as Yoshi-san says, and thank you. And yes, I do remember you. You had that wonderful ship for an avatar," Tsuki beamed at him, "I remember how unique that was."
The woman glanced back to Yoshi. "As for the kami, at least it felt more direct on that last line, but no more clear an answer. It's good and bad, and we get to decide. Everyone in the empire, gets to decide."

"I wonder if that means... everyone can affect the outcome," Yoshi postulates aloud, "or instead, that the outcome it portends is inevitable, and it will just be up to everyone to decide if they think it's good or bad? In either case, it sounds like something... big... especially if temples all over the city are experiencing it too. I guess I should expand my search for the phenomenon occurring outside the city too." He makes a mental note to both do that and phone Aiko again to tell her what Tsuki had discovered here.

Koshiro blinks, a little confused by their conversation. "... I feel like I'm missing something here. Everyone gets to decide something? Portents? Phenomenon? Is something going on?"

"The statue breaking was of supernatural origin; an omen," Yoshi explains. "It's been happening at temples all over the city, too. Tsuki-san was communing with air kami here to try to get a sense of what it meant. You... would know how talking to kami can be... ambiguous." He winces a little at the reminder that he himself didn't know this, first hand at any rate.

"True... last time I communed with the lake's water kami, they didn't exactly give me the answer I was looking for, but it was an answer of sorts. Maybe I was asking the wrong questions," he shrugs. "Has anyone tried communing with the earth kami in the statue pieces? Might be something more there." Koshiro looks over as well to the empty space where the statue used to be. "Should we try making a new statue to replace the broken one? Will that fix things? Or will that break too? I'm pretty much self-taught, I don't know these things too well."
