Aiko, wearing a dress that might as well have been pulled from a maid catalog in Dragon green and gold, accented with white, waits quietly outside the restaurant for Akane, fussing with her umbrella under the awning as she does so. She seems excited, as she is always looking forward to time spent with Akane.

Akane, for her part, didn't really have much time to change from her gym clothing into something more fancy. But at least it's dry at this point, the rain having let up on the way here. So she has green track pants with a white stripe down the side and a black plain comfy t-shirt on, along with her tennis shoes. And she is currently running down the sidewalk, waving to Aiko with both hands.

Aiko smiles and waves to Akane, "Hey there, Akane! I guess we've each taken a different approach, huh?"

"Eh? Oh, the clothes! Um... is this all right then...?"
Akane blushed a little and looked down at her clothes.
"Cause you know I'll dress up however you like if yah want me to. I just thought, since it was in the middle of a school day..."

Akane rocked on her feet a little,, hands behind her back, "You know me; Just wanna make you happy. Guess I'm more sensitive to that cause this's the first date date we've had in ages."

"Akane, hush," Aiko replies, leading the Ryudo into the restaurant, a decent local Yodotai place that Aiko that frequented before. She grabs Akane's hand, squeezing a little.

Akane walks closer, any frown immediately disappearing. Like a puppy she was quick to go from dejection to excitement. While they were waiting to be lead to their table, she decided to start chatting, "How've your classes been going so far this year? No trouble I hope?"

Akane frowns slight before going back to a smile, "Hai, I suppose you're right. I was a little bit of a problem student myself, back in the day... Still, I can't say I've really had any myself, unless you count a student deciding to sneak up behind me and spook me in Performing Arts.
