Aiko, for her part, orders a chorizo and egg dish, as it sounded quite exciting, and a large cola.
"And I take it your classes have gone smoother than mine, at least?"

"I suspect so; There was a little bit of an issue in my first class with an argument between some of the students or something like that. But I ~think~ I handled it well enough. And apart from getting surprised in performing arts, I think that went well enough too, even if I'm a little off what I planned on my syllabus."
Akane smiled a little, "But then, you DID just say that was one of the first things to go for you, so maybe I'm just learning a lesson here."

"The syllabus is helpful in giving the students an idea of what to expect, Akane, and gives you a way of telling them what you hope to cover that year. However, when it comes down to it, you end up with a variety of students, each with different interests and skill levels, so you find out that the syllabus doesn't completely fit the students you have."

"I suppose it doesn't help that performing arts is a bit open; I thought people would do group projects to show off their artistic talents... I just never imagined they'd want to put on one large show and divide into different parts of it instead."

"Mm...that reminds me. I need to get into contact with Bayushi Ietsuna-sensei," Aiko replies, "I wanted to have him come talk to the Drama club on Thursday."

Akane chuckles a little, "I wonder how many people from my class are in Drama Club. You're leading the club then?"

"I am. Mostly because I know a bunch of people in the industry who can come to talk to the students and give them advice, as well as who can provide some more...behind the stage support," Aiko replies.

"Ah. Yeah, I don't think I'd want to bring in any of the people I knew from working in Scorpion lands in TV. Not that some of them weren't neat people, even cool, but not sure many of them have any experience teaching like Bayushi-sensei did. So that sounds like a perfect opportunity."

"Mhm," Aiko nods, "And I know a few people who would be willing to help through my activities in getting a theater program set up back home."

"I don't think I have anyone like that for swim club, any speakers or such."
Akane touches a finger to her chin thoughtfully as a waiter sets the two women's drinks down.
