Noboru just kept his eyes closed for now but offered a nod to Tsuki. "Do you think there's a chance someone wants our clans, or at least our families, at war and plans to profit from it in some way?"
He finally opened his eyes to look at her but the anger of the situation seemed to only make him sick. There was a good shot he wanted to actually take his frustrations out on someone or something, but was trying hard to keep them in. Especially since this wasn't Tsuki's fault. It might not have even been her Clan's fault, or his for that matter, but the fact remains people were dying for no good reason and it was stoking that fire...
"I... almost wonder if.." He shook his head, exhaled deeply, then set his jaw a moment before speaking again. "No, that's a horrible idea. And dishonest but... a piece of me wants to insult you again just to see if a duel could possibly bring out the guilty party. Assuming it could catch their interest."

Tsuki frowned at the idea, and though her form held, the wind about her form had seemed to calm. "I don't know who could possibly benefit from pushing for the feud between the families or the clans. Nor why the desire to see us at each others throats would push them to see us struggle so."
She glanced to her phone and then back to Noburo, "I would prefer not to use it as a way to bring out a guilty party. Even if we did, we have no clue if they are here, or if our contest would be worth their time. More over, I don't feel comfortable with using such a sacred form of resolution for disputes in such a dishonest manner, but if we can prove it might work, I will swallow my personal distaste for it."

"I don't like it either," he offered honestly. "If anything, it would prove to the rest of the world and our ancestors that we have no honor." The Dragon offered the deepest, most sincere bow he could. "Please forgive me for even suggesting it. I..."
A sigh.
"I just want to make them pay so badly..."

Tsuki shook her head at the man, "There are times when we must stake what we believe on the extremes. As they say, fortunes favor the bold, Mirumoto-san."
Her fingers played with the phone in hand, rotating it slowly. She looked to Noburo, "Does this mean you believe my words, or is it something else?"

"A bit of both," came an honest response from the Dragon as he looked to Tsuki. "I don't doubt your sincerty or honest, but that still leaves other questions. For example, a duel is supposed to be Heaven's judgment made manifest in the Mortal Realms, hai? If so, then why did my sister lose her duel with Kakita Ichiro? After all, part of the reason for the duel was the claim that Kitsuki Shun was using the blood feud to unjustly persecute Kakita Ichiro. If there was no blood feud, then how can the Heavens find judgment for Kakita Ichiro?"
Noboru shrugged a bit, "I know that's a theological question, but it's one I certainly don't know enough about to have an answer for."

"Do you want my thoughts on that, Mirumoto-san, or are you simply being rhetorical to aid yourself in coping with the subject?" She asked, albeit carefully.

"I see," Tsuki said before she gave her own thoughts to the man.
"It is Rokugani law that conflicts of honor or without any other resolution be settled by the blade, but it was established during the time when the Kami were with our clans. They did agreed it was the best way to resolve such matters, as did the Emperor, at that time. If one were to disagree with the duel as a form of conflict resolution, then it would be disagreeing with the Kami who did believe in it. I do not truly believe they guide the blade of those in the right, and I dare not believe they might guide the blade of those who are wrong." She answered, her words indicating mulled over thoughts, and possibly more.
"In a way, those who believe in their skill and have such skill to back up their beliefs, will secure victory regardless of their reasons."

The Mirumoto sighs at the answer, frustration growing at the thought of what all of this implies. "And yet if I were to go after him, especially knowing what I know now, it would only further vindicate his claims."
Noboru sought to restrain his furor yet the anger on his features was as plain as day. "Kami damn it, I refuse to be someone else's puppet in all of this but how in the Realms' names am I supposed to get vengeance for my sister if all I'm doing is playing into someone else's hand?"
It took him a few more moments before he finally calmed a little, his gaze averted from the Kakita woman before a different realization hit him. If they were going to get to the bottom of this, if he had any hope of maybe one day quelling the pain and anger boiling within him they'd have to work together. The thought nearly sickened him. Regardless of the reason for all of this, none of it would have happened had Mirumoto Aiko and her father been able to resolve whatever issue started all of this to begin with. As such, when he looked back she could still see the blame and anger toward her lineage in his eyes. Thankfully, reason prevailed for now.
"So what do we do now?"

Tsuki met his gaze but even her cool eyes were not so cold to to drown out the heat and anger he aimed at her and beyond. She glanced away and placed some space between them, her finger running across the screen of the phone in hand. "I don't know what we can do. There is little hope to stop those of our clans from believing in the feud, but a good start would be to have Mirumoto Aiko-sensei, who if I am to understand your words, believes the feud exists. If she continues to says it does then any work we put in will be dashed away by a thunders words. I would like to think I would be able to convince her, but I feel you might be better tasked at this if you are so inclined."
Her eyes fell to the screen saver, a forest rich in green and browns, and bit her lip softly. "I will ask my father why no one is listening, and perhaps he might know why it has escalated. It honestly doesn't make sense that no one is listening to anyone above them. I just don't know where else to start, but having that answered would help."
