Mirumoto Noboru walks down the halls toward his locker after having spent the early part of the evening in one of the music department's practice rooms alone, working on a few songs as well as different picking techniques. It had been a long, draining day. Class days always were for him, especially being a notorious procrastinator and someone who generally kept to himself. But this was different. There was an emptiness that his heart. In the course of two days he'd gone from finding two people who could potentially repair that void that existed in his heart to no longer being able to even talk to one of them while hurting and alienating the second. Then there was the general frustrations he felt over how his last few years have progressed, in part because of his own discomfort acting with others and, well...?
*SLAM*
After swapping out books for his upcoming classes and putting sheet music he wanted to practice later on top of everything else, the Mirumoto closed the door to his locker forcefully. Noboru paused to rest his forehead against the locker and simply sighed.

Kakita Tsuki had many things to do and only so much time to do them in. It was a blessing she had an organized mind but even she had to leave some room open for the overlooked or unexpected. This time it had been some late papers given back to her for club day. Procrastination seemed to be common in a few people it seemed and it was their inaction that forced her to make a reaction. This time it would simply be delivering the papers where they needed to go, but next time they would be told that they will need to drop them off at the student council and they will see about possibly getting to the clubs when time permits. Considering a club needed to be approved to count for anything, let alone funding, the threat would likely get the point across.
*SLAM*
Tsuki jumped lightly in her step and whipped about in the direction of the sudden noise. It was a Mirumoto, and one she recognized at that. She watched as he rested his forehead against the locker, knowing all to well what a sign might mean. The papers could wait a little longer. Tsuki stepped over and to the side and quietly spoke out to Noburo. "Is everything all right, Mirumoto-san?"

Noboru kept his stance as it was, eyes shifting in the direction of the familiar voice to confirm his suspicions. Once he saw Tsuki the Dragon just sighed softly, recalling their meeting a few days earlier. He really wasn't in the mood to deal with the Kakita, or really anyone right now, and yet...
"No, everything isn't alright," came a reply that was somewhat hostile and yet seemed to betray some underlying problems. "No offense, but I've had enough issues with the Crane in my life. And, yeah, I've brought about my own problems with them the last few days, but I really don't know if now is a good time to talk, Kakita-sama."

Well, it was a start. Tsuki kept off to the side and never made an approach, but she didn't simply just give him a bow and walk away either. She let his words hang in the air for a bit as she glanced about the area. It seemed no one else was around, unsurprising considering the time of day it was.
"Then we don't have to talk, Mirumoto-san," Tsuki answered in still gentle tone, "I could simply listen if you prefer. I hope no one has been bothering you though."

"After everything that's happened," he began turning around to face the Kakita properly even though he leaned against the lockers now. "After all the anger and all the hatred I have for your clan. For you and Doji Tetsuko-san, for Doji Reiha and Kakita Isao... and even for Doji Fuyuko-sensei... *sigh* I never thought I'd fall in love with one of your cousins."
"Heh", he huffed a little, eyes shifting toward the Heavens. "And then I screw it up in a moment of passion, remorse and honesty."
His eyes flit over to Tsuki, his On (which already stunk) replaced with a torment of emotions. Pain. Anger. Sorrow. Grief. Guilt. Regret. "I don't know why I'm telling you any of this other than I don't know how much longer I can hold all this in. Though I guess it should have been clear when I probably woke up most of the girls' dorm this morning playing outside Doji Hoshiko-san's door."

Tsuki opted to make no comment on how she had left immensely early that morning, or how it had meant she had learned that her friend was the son of the Lion thunder and her possible husband. Nor did she make a comment as his On slipped away to reveal his own troubles and flaws, each engraved so clearly on his face that nothing short of a wall could hide them from onlookers. It was harder to ignore his open and declared anger against her, and her clan, but she had said she would listen and so any words there were set aside.
Her eyes glanced away for a moment, as if searching for words that would keep it from being a talk but seeking to also confirm she was listening to his woes. "Does it bother you that you have affections for her, despite where she comes from?" She finally asked.

"It does," he offers honestly. "Even if we ignore the blood feud or the issue concerning Mirumoto Okoro, yout clan has taken something from me I can never get back. All because of an ill advised moment by our Thunders that has spilled over to the lives of the rest of us."
His hand balled into a fist and prepared to slam into the locker behind him only to remain where it was. He'd already had a few outbursts and shown enough to hang himself if Tsuki wished it, mistreating school property would probably have left her with little choice. "Kakita Ibu made it easy. He abused his position as iaijutsu captain to bully his way through arguments last year. I might have been doing everyone a favor when I broke his hand, especially since I'm pretty sure he wanted to break my arm so I couldn't play my guitar, but it also gave me an outlet to vent. An outlet to take out my frustrations and anger."
He glanced back to her, head shaking, "You? The others I named? I hate you even more because you're trying to rob me of my anger. Trying to rob me of the only thing that's kept me going for the last two years. I don't know that I want to forgive your clan for things it's done, but each of you are just so. Damn. Nice. To me. And it frustrates me. And then Aiko-sensei made me promise I wouldn't start anything... but I can just feel it building up inside me, ready to burst. Ready to consume you, me, and everyone around us."
"But as for Doji Hoshiko-san? What bothers me more is I hurt her yesterday." He sighed, looking up to the Heavens for a few seconds before bringing his gaze forward and off into nothingness. "I betrayed her trust and loyalty and was honest in my admission. I don't think I did what I did for any reason other than a moment of weakness but..." A pause, then silence.

Her hands, though they rested at her sides, balled up a bit. His words were heavy, his own frustrations pouring out to her like a damn with to many holes and no one to keep the whole thing from collapsing. His frustration in tone, words, even his face hit her and she weathered them well, but it was unjust. It was unfair. He could stand there telling her it bothers him so much, that his anger was something he was willing to keep a hold of. Yet at the same time tell her that her cousin, whom he so cared for, was a woman he wanted to be with. She stared long and hard at Noburo, as if summing up the man with vicious detail. Then she spoke.
"There is no blood feud, Mirumoto-san," Tsuki said slowly, "I wish you would stop saying it. I don't know what it means to you, but if you betrayed her feelings, saying such things won't help."

"What do you mean there's no blood feud?"
His look was one of confusion, but the tone of his voice began to grow hostile. "You're telling me that the legendary feud Mirumoto Aiko-sensei declared on the Crane Clan Thunder is a lie? You're telling me the issue between our families, our clans, that has cropped up over the last few years doesn't exist?" His tone began to grow hotter, hands balling up at his sides. "You're telling me that the five lives Mirumoto Okoro claimed were over a lie? That he died over a lie?"
The dam broke as Noboru's hand slammed into a locker behind him, the bang echoing through the halls. His response, however, may not have been something Tsuki was prepared for. Though his tone burned with fury the pain that filled it was what created the cracks in the foundation, the waters that were too strong for the dam to ever contain. "You're telling me my sister died... over a lie?!"

Regardless of his words, she pressed on, but she couldn't hold back her own frustrations. Perhaps it was because of this morning's talk with Seijuro. Perhaps it was because of her time at the temple and her prayers forever seeing no answer. Perhaps it was because of the papers she had to deal with at the last minute. It was hard to tell and she didn't know, but his words about the feud, about the lines of her father, just seemed to be the last straw.
"It never existed!" She shot out, "I don't know who said it, or who brought it to attention, I don't even know how so many people were so quick to believe something when if they just looked for on second, they would see no Lord ever allowed such a declaration! I keep hearing it over and over, about how Mirumoto Aiko and my Father had some feud! No one even stopped to ask how some lone Mirumoto knew of a conversation between two thunders, when he was never there for it! Then, when the courts brew, the champions say nothing on the matter!"
Her knuckles turned white as she balled them into fists, while the air around her grew cold. "My father would not sit around for eighteen years and let his name be smeared when he could have solved it from the very start!"
