"Another helping of what I had a couple of days ago would hit the spot I assume." Never one to be reserved or shy about such things, he touchs her hand and gives her a sly grin "perhaps a bit more."
"Though as skilled you are at what we did, that is not the reason I asked you out. I'd like to get to know you a bit." He says casually.

"What would you like to know" she asks with a smile, a fan in her hand, fluttering classically

Ichiro shrugged "I mean whatever you like to share really, I just want to get to know you, what you're passionate about, why you're here, I know you want to be a magestrait one day but why? The questions could be endless. I know not so Much about about you."

"I want to be a magistrate because it is what I am good at I suppose. I was trained in the art of the duel. They call me a prodigy. What better way to spend such a talent than in the pursuit of justice and dignity"
She takes a sip of her tea
"And you, what do you wish to do with your life?"

"But is that your passion? To do something just because you're good at it isn't always the right thing. Do you want to do that or are just doing because your talented?"
He pauses at her question. "Well I'm not sure I guess join the military, my father wants me to go straight into being an officer but I'd rather spend some time on the ground."
"Or perhaps become a prize fighter, I have the skill to do it and the money is good. I love fighting, the purity of it, the adrenaline, it all makes so excited." As he speaks Uetani would see a small fire behind his eye building, clearly passionate about it.

"There is a purity to it. I agree. The duel, that perfect moment, and then, one of you lives, one of you dies"
If there is a fire in his eyes, there is an inferno in hers
"The blade is my passion. Being a magistrate is the best way to use that"

Ichiro smiles loving that passion, his heart races a bit. It's alluring but a bit scary in a nice way though. "The duel is ok but it's so quick and final. The fight, there is a fierceness to it. An ebb and a flow, each strike a small duel. They are two sides of the same coin different emphasis. But both born of struggle and desire, passion, either a lack of fear or a profound fear of death. The rush of surviving." As he talks his energy build his fire matches Uetani's towards the end.
A deep breath, center, calm, rein it in.
Release.
"Well I think we need to save this type of energy for later." He says his words deep and throaty but calmer passion and lust intermixing.

"Promises promises" she all but growls, sipping her tea and smiling coyly
She fights to calm the passion down. She knows she cannot kill him, that would cause too many questions, but maybe they can knock each other about a bit. That might be fun

Ichiro recognizes this type of passion, he has seen it in himself before. It is a dark passion only born from singular purpose and drive. He needs to get her alone, and no not just for that, he needs to explore this with her. it terrifies him and excites him, seeing that in her eyes he felt like he'd for a brief moment glimpsed something similar to himself. Not exactly the same obviously but both borne of pain, and loss.
His mind raged but he kept his smile casual. "I don't make empty promises Uetani-san, that much I will tell you." He sipped his sake and enjoyed the feel of it in his mouth "So when did you first start practicing with the blade?"

She shakes herself from her dark reveries
"Oh, when I was small. We were given swords and brushes and the like to play with, to see where our talents lay. Mine was said to be the sword, and my sisters the chisel. I must have been... Seven winters old the first time I went to regular practice. Five I think, the first time I held an iato"
