His smile falters for a moment, real emotion breaking to the surface. Things long repressed, things hidden and unbidden to return. He smiles but it is hollow. He grasps Uetani's hand "I would like that, sometime but not now. Not here. These things are best said in private." He says this as the food arrives it all looks well made and quite good.

She eats slowly and daintily. Not speaking much as she does. It actually looks like it is taking some effort to eat properly.

Ichiro is not a slob but not is a refined table guest he makes mistakes here and there and notices Uetani struggling. "Uetani-chan, is everything alright?"

Ichiro chuckled "well please do not throw up pretense when youre with me. I want you as you are Uetani-chan, no need for pretending now." the emphasis placed on the words makes the double meaning obvious.

She responds by eating more quickly. A reasonable pace perhaps for some samurai, but certainly one that might be called gluttonous in high society

Ichiro chuckles matching her pace he did after all spend a great deal of his time hanging out in barracks and by docks eating with frontline samurai and ashigaru. Table manners were never a huge emphasis on his meals.

"I am not most typical lion." he responds "I know I seem it based on being very sporty and into combat and being in killer shape but I have many things I enjoy that are not considered to be 'lion like'" he says using air quotes.
