"Mm. Not that weird. It only is weird if you did more than just flirt with his girlfriend, Priya-san," Aiko says, with a small smile, "Otherwise, things would be forever awkward between one of my favorite manga-ka and myself, as I hit on his girlfriend before I found out she was straight when we were both students. I did make her bento all of my freshman year, though. Because I just...liked making food for my friends."

"Ah...yes and no. I was fortunate in that I had a wonderful girlfriend who was very supportive of me, though we did drift apart for a while after high school. She's a sensei here now, actually, and I've been trying to reconnect with her," Aiko says, smiling faintly, rubbing her right shoulder. If Priya had been paying attention to Aiko's tattoos in the baths, she might realize, in hindsight, that the tattoo on that shoulder bore a striking resemblance to a certain Ryudo sensei, though in the ink, she was dressed in Lion colors.

She considers it... She would not normally share the information with people of authority, but this relationship is different

Aiko nods a little, smiling reassuringly, "I understand that, and can respect that. As long as you two are open and honest with each other about it, I don't generally see any problem with it, though...mmm...probably nothing. But she seems like a good and loving girl. I am glad you found someone who is comfortable with who she is."

"It took us a while" she admits "We worked over some stuff, and we are trying to talk rather than fight. What about you, if I may ask? You are obviously happily married, but you mentioned trying to connect with an old girlfriend? You also believe in sharing love?"

Aiko ponders that for a second, "I believe that romance can be shared, yes, but only when people are open and honest with each other. My husband and I, we are happy together, and I would not change that for the world. But I was always honest with him about, while he will be the only man in my life, I knew my heart would sometimes wander romantically. And he knew this while we were dating, on the third date, because I was at that point, very sure he didn't give two whits about the fact that I had been some great hero, and that he was interested in me for me. And he listened and said he didn't mind, as he just wanted to know that I was happy with him. He's...a lot more monogamous than I am, as he's not really got a wandering eye, but he will sometimes tease me about my tastes."
A small smile, "Like whenever I got all flustered when talking about a girl I'd met, he'd be like 'Well, now you know how I felt when I talked to you the first time.'"
