At this point, Aiko's phone buzzes, and the Mirumoto holds up a finger, a bit baffled. She checks the message, and looks a bit...torn for whatever reason. And then she turns the phone to show Priya the message from Hisui. A silent question being asked.

She looks sick for a little moment, and doesn't say a thing. Then, guarded and maybe a little afraid "I'm handling it"

Aiko looks at Priya, then closes her eyes and shakes her head, "No. You aren't. Handling it would be staying the Jigoku away from that Otomo. Handling it would be telling a teacher you trust about the fact that a sensei has pursued an improper relationship with you. Handling it would be not putting her further in the position of power, Priya. If you doubt me, just ask Utaku Hisui about Eun-Soo some time, and about how an idiot friend of hers pushed her into the arms of a teacher who should have known better."

Priya looks back, her sword pointed down and away.
"How do I stay away when she can find me anywhere I go? How do I get anyone to believe that a ranking imperial in the best school in the world wants to fuck a fifteen year old Badger that should barely be there?"
She shakes her head "This way, I have some control over my situation, and hers. She cannot approach anyone else whilst she is with me, and who knows? Maybe I can heal something in her"

Aiko looks at Priya, just dumbfounded for several long moments. Had the girl not been paying attention?
"Priya. Please tell me that you do not honestly believe that giant load of Oni shit you just spewed. Because I thought I have made it abundantly clear that you have me on your side. I believe you. And, Merciful Jizo, if you think you have power in this situation, you do not. You are giving her more power over her by playing into whatever sick game she is actually playing by stringing you along. And...for Kami's sake, the 'I can fix them' excuse? It works in the stories, but in reality? It is the sign of a very toxic relationship."

"You believe me. Good, but you are not an action figure Aiko" she looks at her with almost pleading eyes "What can you do, other than storm over there and challenge her before the heavens, and risk your position at this school and in this empire?"
She places the bokken on the floor, too much of a warrior to just drop it, but too much of a child perhaps to not be able to talk without her hands
"I am a woman grown. My lord has trusted me to be able to fight for him, kill for him, pressed four feet of steel into my hands, but my parents still search for a rich husband for me, so they can sell me off like they did my sisters. So that my brothers can have the life that I never had. I fought for this! I earned this to get away from them, and still it is not enough. I need to be more than I am now."
She turns away
"It was nice, for just a moment, to be more to someone than pretty dark skin and a womb"

After Priya turns away, she would probably feel something she didn't anticipate. Which is a hug from behind, a motherly one.
"Priya, you are acting like I am not wanting to make sure your path is your path. Just...talk to Utaku Hisui. Then you will understand why I am so scared of the path you seem intent on following with Otomo Katsumi."
