The hug makes Priya start to sob. She will not fall to tears in the arms of this woman, but she can't fight back the first few. Why is it that all these pretty sensei look to mother her? She doesn't know, but she doesn't hate it either. The Badger woman is no stranger to touch, or to affection being shown through it. She can tell the difference between comforting and romance, so leans into the comfort

Aiko shakes her head, "The fight wasn't why, at least...mm... well, it was and it wasn't. Because of that battle, I lost two friends and had to serve as second to a third. And one...mm. Well, it isn't worth dwelling on what might have been."

Aiko shakes her head, smiling wryly, "Priya, I've had a lot of time to think this through. Fortunes, I've even talked it through with my husband a few times. But in this case, I'm trying to show you that, we all have times when we are emotional wrecks. But the key thing is how we pick ourselves up after and put ourselves back together. From the sound of things, you do want what's best for Otomo Katsumi-san. You want to help her and care about her. But I don't think a romantic relationship will help her. Be her friend, be there to support her, help her get the actual help she needs. But...don't enable her by doing things that will ultimately hurt the both of you."

If, in a few years and well after she is no longer your sensei, she is in a better place, and you still feel drawn to her, then my stance on the matter might be different. But right now, if she is indeed unwell..." Aiko says, trying to reassure Priya that caring and being with intimately are not always related.
