That makes her smile too, and run her fingers through her hair "What did you tell him about me?" she teases, before going back to a more normal tone
"I had your action figure as a kid. I wasn't supposed to have it, my mother wanted me to play with girl toys, but you were a hero to me. I'll admit, I was taken aback when I saw this great hero in my dorm room meeting, but I hope you will not be offended, you are not the Aiko I grew up with."
"You are so much more than that Aiko-sensei, you are your own person, with dreams and a skill all of your own. I am glad to have gotten to know you as that, rather than the action figure."

Aiko laughs softly at the teasing, then looks to the Ichiro when she tells her the story about the action figure and how different she was from the stories told about her. This makes the Mirumoto smile softly.
"I'm glad you have as well. Because I've learned something from becoming what people call a hero, Ichiro-san, and that is people expect you to be exactly like the stories told about you, rather than realizing you are more than just what is told. I would rather be remembered by my students as their sensei, someone who is there to teach and provide an example, not...an idol on a pedestal."

"You are something more than a sensei to me" she admits "A mentor beyond my time at school. It almost pains me to say it, but you will be my sensei forever, not just whilst I am here. If that means that I never cook you a romantic bento, do be it"
She mimics being struck dramatically, smiling as she does
"I... Sometimes I get confused at my place here, it is hard. I am just this minor clan girl, with aspiration at proving herself, but no real idea of how to begin. You have made it easier, and I can only thank you for that"

Aiko smiles gently, "I do not think I am the only one you have to thank, Priya-san. But I will gladly take my share of the credit. After all, while I had a wonderful mentor, I also had a wonderful girlfriend and supportive friends. A mentor can do much, yes, but not everything. Be sure to show your friends that you appreciate their support as well, Priya-san."

Aiko looks at Priya, then nods a little, "I know what you mean. But the thing is, you are in a new environment, meeting more people than you have in the past. It gets a bit overwhelming at first, but I bet by next year you'll have a better handle on things."
