"Well, I'd consider it a favor if we can skip the old ritual," she says. "A bad habit, I know, but it just makes things easier."
"And yes, the weather is lovely. It's why I decided to sit here instead of the teacher's lounge." That and avoiding an Otomo. "I thought it might help with the poetry."
"I suppose you could take a look at them, but I'm not sure if she'd mind my sharing her work." A pause. "Do you write poetry?"

Hinata nodded.
"Some, though...I admit it is not very good."
She smiled sheepishly.
"I think I am better at reading it than writing it. Still, though, if you are not sure whoever wrote the poetry there would mind sharing it, I will not pry."
Hinata chuckled quietly.
"Fortunes know I would not want some of mine to see the light of day."

"It's odd, really. Give me the lyrics of a song and I can interpret them. Give me poetry and I'm hopelessly lost."
She chuckles.
"But I suppose it's worth it. Sometimes you only need one person who appreciates your efforts to make it worthwhile, ne?"
She takes a bite of her riceball, tucking away the book of romantic death poems. A topic she thinks the Kuni would appreciate, if the Unicorn had the right to share.

Hinata nodded.
"I know precisely what you mean. Hearing someone you care about tell you they appreciate you...it is a simple thing, but also one of the best feelings in the world. At least I think so."

She nods, her very being in total agreement.
"It is. That feeling that they will appreciate every little thing you do, no matter how ordinary," she says, very clearly a woman in love. And able to recognize the same in another. "We're very lucky to have such people, aren't we?"

"Indeed" Hinata replied with a small smile.
"So...if I might ask, who is the person who has caught your heart?"

"Doji Fuyuko-sensei," she answers rather readily. "I do hope the truth doesn't offend? Some people can be very sensitive about that."
"And your heart, Kuni-san? Who is the lucky samurai?"

Hinata shrugged.
"I see little reason to be offended by it. We love who we love and that is the end of it. As for who I am with..."
Hinata sighed, a happy sound, though not without a tinge of exasperation.
"...well, this may come as a surprise, but it is Iweko Yoshinobu."

Hisui pauses. She'd heard the rumors, of course. Who hadn't, at that point in time? She just didn't expect to be looking at that specific Kuni.
"Should I be addressing you as Your Highness then?" she teases, just a little bit. "Or would that be assuming too much?"

Hinata chuckled at that.
"No, not yet. Not nearly that far. The Nakodo arranged an official miai and we prayed to Benten together, but..."
She frowned and leaned forward.
"...there are definitely some issues."
