Nade blinked, Hinata knew Nomen? this was news to her... but there was bad blood between them. This was a tricky situation. She mulled over what she knew of both girls before taking a long sip of her tea to steel up the courage.
"May I ask what Nomen did to you? She seems to be the kind of person who... does not respect boundaries. If you are uncomfortable telling me that's okay, I just... at the moment I think of both of you as friends."

And then Nadeshiko asked. Hinata frowned and ran her hands through her hair, clearly uncomfortable.
"No, no...I suppose it is something you should know."
Hinata took a deep breath. If Nadeshiko was friends with Nomen...well, what she was about to say hopefully would not offend her.
"...she sexually harassed me the first time I met her. She asked if I want to share the shower, and I said yes. What is bathing together, after-all? But then she kept staring at me, even after I said I did not like being leered at. She also made comments on my body and invited me to look at hers and..."
Hinata looked down at the table with a sigh.
"...suffice to say it was deeply uncomfortable and I had to ask her twice to stop. Even then, she got out of the shower and made fun of me for being a...well...a virgin."

Nade listened intently, this sounded very much like Nomen, exactly like the Nomen she knew.
"Did she physically harass you? Or was it all verbal?"
I had hoped people would have matured by now... but I guess people will never change. At least there's less bullies now than there were back in middle school.
"I am sorry for bringing this up but I just want to make sure when I scold her for her behaviour I get my facts right. Although if you don't want me to do that I won't... Also there's absolutely nothing wrong with being a virgin."

Hinata shook her head.
"No, it was all verbal. You do not need to berate her for it, either; she apologized to me after. That does not mean I have to like her, though."
She shrugged.
"She is my room mate. I can tolerate her if I have to."
Hinata paused, then suddenly looked even more embarrassed.
"As for being a virgin...I know there is nothing wrong with it. ...if I wanted to I probably could have solved that far earlier, but...I have just been waiting for the right man to come along."

That would be surpremely awkward, how could Hinata handle that. I wanted to just disappear just being in the same room as my bullies.
"Well, if she gives you any other trouble. Let me know and I'll speak with her. You don't deserve that kind of treatment, no one does ever."
Although I can understand why Nomen would think that, Hinata is pretty cute.
"Back to this friday, like I said if it makes you uncomfortable I'll understand but I really would like you there... and I'm thinking of inviting the breakfast club but... you're my closest friend out of them and I'll still pondering on telling the others."

Hinata nodded.
"I already said I will come. You are my friend, I will be there for you, okay? Also, do not feel like you have an obligation to invite the others. We are all friends, but...do whatever you feel comfortable with, alright?"
She then smiled gently.
"I am your closest friend, though? That is...oddly flattering to hear."

"Nomen is an interesting person and I do feel a bond with her but... yes, you are my closest friend. Sitting back and analyzing the last few days has cemented it. I know everything is still new but I really hope we can deepen it."

Hinata nodded, and squeezed Nadeshiko's hand gently.
"I hope we can as well. All of my friends are precious to me, but...you are correct, I think we are the closest."
Hinata felt a little bad admitting that, and it showed in her voice. Was it right to play favorites with your friends? She was not sure, she had never had this many before. It was nice to have so many, but...she supposed it had to have it's wrinkles, just like anything.

There's perceptive Nade again, she mulls Hinata's tone over in her head for a few moments before responding.
"I think there's plenty of room to grow on the friendship front with all of our friends. We've been through similar circumstances and just connected over them, there's nothing wrong with that. The real trick is ensuring that our friendship doesn't interfere with our other friends. Everyone gets equal treatment on the friendship front."

Hinata nodded again, the frown disappearing.
"Of course. It is silly of me to worry. Just because we are best friends does not mean our friendship with the others means any less."
She sounded more like she was explaining to herself, rather than Nadeshiko.
