"Okaaay. I'm just gonna put Tiger-neko down now then." Koshiro bends down and places the kitty gently on the ground and releases his grip on the cat.

Hinata kept an eye out for the creature as all of this was going on.
"In the chance that Tiger-neko is not what is angering it, we should be ready for a fight. Well, unless any of you think you can outrun a tiger."

"I guess... the soundest tactic is... we just head back the way we came slowly and hope Tiger-neko follows... and that its angrier-sounding relative doesn't," Yoshi suggests, gingerly demonstrating by sliding his defensive stance ever so slowly down the path, away from the direction of the ruined shrine.

"Agreed," Kobushi says, weapons at the ready.
Once Koshiro lets Tiger down, the little cat begins to move towards the shrine. Towards where the sound seems to be coming from, the next time the growling comes. This time, there appears to be something looming in the mists. Something tall as the Crane.
"Well, if we're wrong, I'll try to rescue Tiger before we pull back and regroup."

Hinata nodded, keeping an eye on the creature as it loomed. The others could watch Tiger; she was going to keep her eye on the threat.

Koshiro watches Tiger and murmurs a few words without looking into his notebook. The earth beneath his hand gathers together and rises up to form a rocky-looking sledgehammer. He takes the weapon then looks to the others and nods. Whatever they planned on doing, whether fighting or fleeing, he was prepared to join them.

"Was the one you fought with Ichiro that big?" Yoshi quietly asks Kobushi as he continues to move slowly away from where the shape in the fog was looming.

"About the same size," Kobushi answers, instinctively taking a step back.
The shape in the fog was moving closer, and the sound it was making louder. Meanwhile, Tiger continued to approach it. The little cat was almost out of sight, becoming more and more lost in the mists and away from the light Hinata's fire generated. Kobushi didn't like this situation one bit, but if it was possible to avoid a fight, that was a good thing.
Before long, Tiger-neko's meowing gets louder and the looming shadow seems to have stopped coming closer. But it does emit a low growl.

Koshiro grips his earth sledgehammer tighter. "... Anyone know if that's a good sign? I really hope that's a good sign."

Hinata was trusting the others to keep an eye on Tiger. She heard the kitten meowing, but if it was in danger or out of sight surely the others would react. She kept watching the figure in the fog. It seemed to have stopped, which was promising. Perhaps letting go of Tiger had been the key.
"I think it may be one. If it was after Tiger-neko, it would have moved towards..."
She paused. Was Tiger a boy or girl? It did not really matter, she supposed.
"...it."
