Umeko felt perplexed. Had she inadvertently received a Blessing (or a Curse...) during the night? Was that why people were suddenly complimenting her almost without stop? Shifting a bit uncomfortably under the mountain of praises, she forced herself to smile at the Crane. "It must be the lavender we're growing at the Greenhouse." The gardener said with a chuckle. She finished her tea, bowing her head.
"Would you like a tour right now, or later, Asahina-sama?" She offered. Maybe she should have sat with the Scorpion, she was much used to the kind of bluntness she'd caught from him then to the flowery speeches the younger man was giving her.

Kangei picked up on the woman's discomfort, he had likely come on too strong with his compliments an issue he has had before. The crane typically fall to flattery and who stroking but it seems Umeko was a different challenge over flattery drove her away. He decided the best way to deal with it was to move on and attempt another tactic later. Kangei nodded to Umeko "certainly Umeko-san, I'd be delighted. As you said it'd be a shame to become lost trying to find my own classroom."
Kangei began cleaning and packing his tea set pondering on the best way to proceed with Umeko, perhaps I will just lay off for a moment but that might allow separation to set in if she is currently uncomfortable. The best thing may be a direct approach in a more fitting setting she seems to dislike the opaque and subtle nature of my interaction.

Genji stands up from the table, moving to deposit his bento box and water container into the proper bins. He then turns and bows to the trio in the room, his tone contemplative, "Asahina-sen, Shosuro-san, carry the Fortunes."
He then offers his usual smile to Umeko but even with that his mind seems to still be elsewhere. "I'll meet you at our usual time, hai, Umeko-san?"

The gardener smiled back at the Unicorn, waving slightly as she nodded. "Of course. Your pick, I believe. I'll see you at the gate."
Her attention returned to the Crane, and she moved to help him clean the table, packing her teas back into a small bag. "Brilliant, we can go over the main building if you would like." Umeko told the younger sensei with a smile. She looked glad to be moving again, a return of energy making her earlier awkwardness dissipate.

Kangei finished packing his things and bowed to Umeko. "That sounds like a lovely place to start." He then turned to the Utaku teacher and bowed to him as well "you are most kind genji-san, have a good day and I hope to see you again."
Then Kangei turns back to Umeko "lead the way Umeko-senpai." The crane says with a wry smile on his face.

With that, Genji heads out the door of the teacher's lounge and out to take care of his some business before the first day of classes begins.
