Reiha has been completely absorbed in her drawing, having done the roughs of 'mean Moya' picking on her alter ego in her manga, but luckily the 'thudd' saves her and her snaps up just in time to hear sensei give her an assignment.
Her eyes flicker to the board, her manga and Chiyo.
Oh no, you shouldn't pick a fight with someone like that! It won't end well!
But the words have left her mouth before she comes to her senses.
"Are you upset with Bayushi Chiyo-san? And the answer for Bayushi Chiyo-san's question is 'I am a really mean and vicious girl'."

She could see where this was going. She sighed. So much for Togashi-style riddles and amusements as a soft opening.
Another thud.
"I was going to wait after class, but I suppose now is a good time to do it."
"Bayushi-san, I should tell you to stop with the games and don't embarrass the other students, but I won't. You and I both know you won't listen." She smiles warmly. "So next time you feel the urge to do so with the subtlety of a rampaging Hida, target me."
"Doji-san, I commend you on using the setup I provided as a way to strike back. Not the most elegant counterattack, but in battle, you take any openings you can exploit," she says, still smiling and sounding downright congratulatory. "But as this is a class, I would ask you refrain from being so blunt next time."
"Am I understood?"

"I am willing to provide the question to suit the answer," Chiyo offered, rather nonplussed. It's as if she missed the Doji's true intentions, or did not understand why she was being attacked to begin with. Her expression might as well have begged the question 'who, me?'"I meant no ill will, certainly not. I was surprised by Doji-sama's answer to my riddle. I was referring to one's phone, as I was interested in obtaining her number." Hisui would probably know way better by now, but Chiyo was sticking so hard to her story it was like she thought she could bend one's memory of such a recent event. Hisui tilts her head just so. She ought to be better than this. She's played this game with much more dangerous, much more talented players. But it seems she's either very rusty or hasn't learned a damn thing from past experience. Most likely the latter, given her complete and total willingness to trust people at their word. So she smiles as Chiyo explains herself, completely buying into the deception. This does not bode well for her. And possibly not for the class. "I see. If no offense was meant, I will ignore it this once. Do be more careful with your wording next time, Bayushi-san." Rich targets. Easy subject matter.A trusting sensei. The Scorpion has little reason to dislike the class. It's an easy A for her at this point.

Being somewhat enamoured by Chiyo thanks to their lunch the previous day, Yoshi fails to detect anything false in her words. He's actually rather relieved she was able to explain herself, though he still also feels sympathy for Reiha, not one to hold her angry reaction to a perceived slight against her.

"Oh? Oh! A phone! Yes! Right, of course..." There is another fierce blush as she realizes that she utterly misread the poor Bayushi's intentions! It was she who had been the mean girl!! For shame! The blush intensifies. "Ah! Honto ni gomen ne, Bayushi-sama!", she adds a repentant bow. "I acted horribly! Please forgive me!" Wait. Phone number? Good thing she can't possibly blush more, can she?

This turned out waaaaay better than I expected, the Bayushi thought to herself, trying to keep her expression from looking more pleased than kindly. At this rate I'll be teaching these ducklings a thing or two.
She really was shocked that even the sensei believed her, but such was her potency, she supposed. She did need to be a little more careful. There is no telling which student might have seen through her deceit and is simply keeping quiet about it. This sort of thing could haunt her later.
"All is forgiven, Doji-sama, please, do not worry on it so," Chiyo assured. "I am still interested, by and by, and as a show of good faith I will be honored to provide the question for your answer. Let us not dwell on this--it is in the past."
She bows right back, then takes her turn proper. "What may one find if someone I care for is under attack by one whose intentions are foul? I am a really mean and vicious girl." She then turns to Ryoko next, offering her answer. "A lamp post in winter."

Ryoko was far too busy paying attention to the nature of the Void to even notice that Chiyo had lied about anything. If her mother were here, the woman would probably have her face in her hands in disbelief that her youngest daughter truly expected everyone to be as honest as she is.

Sakura, also managed to miss the mark, probably concentrating too much on something else. Like the meaning of life. (( A 23. Dice, why did you betray me?))

The little Phoenix blinked a moment as she thought about the question to the answer the Bayushi girl posed. That's when she offers an almost cat-like grin, this wondrous idea popping into the Asako's head. One could almost swear they even saw a tail swaying behind her in delight in that very moment. "What did you get your tongue stuck to last season?"
Her eyes flit around the room before falling upon Tamori Yoshi, head tilting to one side. "Tamori-san, the answer to your question is three pounds of flax."
