Yoshi gives a small nod to Sakura in congratulations for holding her own as she resumes her seat. He then watches the Phoenix and Unicorn go to the front, a niggling feeling of discomfort beginning to creep up his spine as he anticipates being called on eventually himself.

Ryouko had barely moved since the one-on-one arguments had begun. Her gaze was riveted to the front, elbows resting on her desk and her hands clasped together. She was obviously listening intently, but her expression hadn't shifted for the whole debate so it would be hard to figure out what she thought of it.

Utaku Hitomi swallowed nervously at the debates. Would she be expected to be called up at some point. She wasn't sure she had the courage to stand in front of the class and give her opinions on this subject.

Otomo Katsumi rubs her chin and closes her eyes. "So then I would like your take on this argument that Mirumoto-San and Kakita-San have been having. Do either of you agree with or them or do you two disagree with them. I am curious to know your thoughts." For now that will do lets get a feel for their thoughts.

Ah yes Duty vs Compassion, of course. Takezou thinks glancing at Katsumi. "Well if I was following correctly Kakita-san answered he would turn in his lord and Mirumoto-san said she would not know until in the moment. I will choose to stand by my lord." He says now looking to Ryoko for her answer.

Ryoko looks over to Katsumi-sensei first, asking her with a curious look on her face. "Sensei, doesn't the Tao say Stop thinking, and end your problems. What difference between yes and no? What difference between success and failure? Must you value what others value, avoid what others avoid?"
She then looks to Takezou, offering him a bow while she considers her words carefully. Then she saw that eye of his and walked up to him, the small girl about to cause a breach of etiquette in class by reaching out to touch him! She stops herself at the last moment and bows apologetically, even if that heart of gold of hers is demanding her to comfort him for his plight instead of avoid him for it.
"But Shinjo-senpai, if my Lord's crime is truly so serious, wouldn't it be more compassionate to those vassals he serves to turn him in? Do we not need to think not only of our duty to our lord but of those his actions affect and reflect upon?"

"Perhaps, perhaps not. I am not here to ask more questions but answer the one given. I am to serve my lord and that is what I will do." He says standing back at the girl.

Otomo Katsumi watches the girl for a moment. Was that a dig at me. Causing problems is what the Otomo are expected to do. She shrugs her shoulders and watches the two begin their debate. It's what she wanted after all. A calm and reasoned debate. Push more if needed
