""Following in my foosteps will not lead you to what I have found," came the Mirumoto's retort. "If that's why you're so angry, Mitsu-san, then you're going to doom yourself to failure trying to live up to your father's example. Instead you should be finding your own example to live up to."

Another touch against her. The next one would decide if the spar would continue, it seems. To her, this is fine. She centers herself and launches into another series of blows against the Lion. She doesn't seem deterred by her losses, but rather is enjoying the chance to test her skills against another. After all, all of life is a test, and sometimes, one failed the tests put before them. It was the nature of life. The best thing was to learn from either success or failure. ((Kenjutsu/Agi: 27))

Seijuro returns to center once more, holding his katana out front in a simple and passive style. For this next series of blows, he would rely upon the teachings of his Grandfather - the basics of a series of kata forged as a sign of friendship between the Crane and Dragon. 1000 Years of Steel. His connection to the words of Akodo would guide his sword. Utter conviction in the strike was the true path to victory. He parries her first few blows, then ripostes with a counter and a spin behind Sakura, tapping her back shoulder. Stepping out of the shadow of a great man
Maybe the best way to do that was to be an ass, who knows. All Priya saw was that people were supposed to worship the ground that he walked on, for who his father was. Well, she didn't like his father much either truth be told. Noboru was an ass, but she found that she agreed with his statement of philosophy at least.
So many angry people here... Maybe she would have to teach them the joy of skipping stones.

Kaizen ground his teeth in frustration and clenched his fist. He knew sensei was right. He still had mich to work on, he didnt like the ridicule that apparently came with it. "Hai, sensei. I came here to learn, from you." He was still visibly angry as he slowly took his seat away from Noburo.

And with that final touch, the duel was finished. Sakura bows to her opponent.
"Thank you for the lesson, Akodo-sama. I still have much to learn."

Ryouko's eyes flickered to Mirumoto Noboru, looking faintly annoyed at his attitude. "Why are you even here?" She asked the Dragon, seeming genuinely confused. "It's obvious you couldn't care less for the class. While you are correct that one should build his own path in life and that our ancestors do not define us, I don't think you could have said it in a more insulting way." Her voice was even, not particularly loud as she watched the Lion and the Dragon conclude their duel. It seemed to have gone well. Her grip on her bokken relaxed and her eyes fell on Noboru again. "Are you looking for a fight, Mirumoto-san? If not, then perhaps you should consider attending the etiquette class instead of this one."

Aiko sighs, rubbing the bridge of her nose. These students would be the death of her eventually. Either way, she waits for the two pairs already sparring to clear out, before moving on to the next set. " Akodo Ichiro and Mirumoto Ryuha. Akodo Izumi and Kakita Isao. You are up next."

Ichiro shakes off his anger towards Noboru and prepares to enter the sparring area. He bows to his opponent and settles down into his fighting stance. Allowing his mind to empty of all thought, preparing to let his body take over completely. He sets himself and waits for his opponent to ready themselves for their bout.
Once the formalities have been observed Ichiro launches into an assault his sword slashing down and thrusting in over again more about speed than power he attempts to attack from all angles

" Criticism is kindness in disguise" came the cryptic answer of the Mirumoto as he just sighed to Ryouko. "Just because I don't use flower words doesn't mean I'm not trying to help any of you." He then bowed to Ryouko, the gesture awkward though he hadn't forgotten her grabbing his guitar from him earlier. "Aiko-sensei made me promise before the school year began that I wouldn't start any incidents. I'm not looking for a fight, no, but that doesn't mean I'm going to treat the children of the Thunders with some special respect they haven't earned. For every single achievement, there are one hundred people looking for merit."
