"If I go to watch TV, and one of them is on, I'll probably choose that over something else," Yoshi replies, nodding. "I don't really go actively seeking them out, though, like through streaming or anything. Maybe I would if I had my own computer." He smiles at Tsuki's laughter, one of his favorite things about her.
"Sorry, I don't know... Tetsuko-san?" he asks.

"Oh yes, apologies, she's a very close and dear friend of mine. Her father died in the battle alongside my mother and father. When they found out he had a child, they opted to watch over her in her father's stead. Consequently, we ended up growing pretty close to one another since we are of similar age," Tsuki explained, "She's pretty cool." She quickly added on.

"I'd like to meet her," he says, smiling at Tsuki's rare use of such informal language. "This actually... helps me make a bit more sense of things. You said a while back that your parents weren't traditional, but they still arranged you a marriage. So, knowing how they feel toward this Tetsuko, was it... also sense of duty to their fellow Thunders that moved them to offer the betrothal? Was... their own marriage also out of a duty to one another, more than it was either politics or affection?"

"Well, for my friend, my father and hers were good friends. They worked well with one another, and at a time where my dad had to step away to take care of something, her father made sure my mom was well protected and watched. So they felt no only out of returning the favor, but friendship, they would do the same," She smiled deeply, purely at her own explanation, "As for my parents, they actually married for love and nothing more. I guess that only makes things a bit more confusing again, doesn't it? Sorry." Tsuki preemptively apologized, aware that it sounded like hypocrisy in a certain light.

"It's... maybe a little encouraging," Yoshi says, trying to be optimistic. He smiles softly, continuing, "If you find a love of your own, perhaps that would be all the convincing they'd need to consider such a man a better match than any the betrothal could bring you." He reaches his hand across the table, taking one of hers if it's close enough or leaving his open to accept one if not.

She paused for a bit as if hesitant to make such a move with him, but sure enough, her fingers find purchase in his. "It's a bit different in that regard. They made the betrothal because they were aware that the Crane and Lion would slowly drift apart in time, and were aware that the empire needed some sense of unity. If the right and the left were as one, the empire would not so easily falter like it did before the war. But, from what mother told me, they were also friends, and the man had accepted them so openly."

"It makes sense, that a pair of such great heroes would take forging bonds to strengthen the whole Empire upon them as their personal responsibility," Yoshi says, paying Tsuki's parents a somewhat bittersweet compliment. He gives her hand a gentle squeeze. "Would they still consider it worth the attempt, if doing so came at the expense of their child's happiness?"

"I don't know. I suppose that would have to be something to discuss if it ever came up, but if I had a deep issue with it, I would have said something from the start. Silver lining, I don't have to try and woo anyone though," She added the last bit with a small laugh, "My parents did what they felt was right, and in a way, I want to achieve that goal as well."

"No... you don't have to try wooing anyone," he agrees, the true meaning of his words clear in both his eyes and the touch of his hand. "There are other ways besides a marriage to foster unity between the Lion and Crane, though. Or at least, besides yours; I hate to ask, but is your sister of the same mind as you? No deep issues, a desire to keep the two Clans together, and possibly even a similar friendship with the man in question?"

"You hate to ask, but you will," She teased him lightly before she gave a shake of her head. "No, she has no deep issues, but I can't say what her desires are in concern to the Clan unity. As for knowing the man, well, not really. We grew up together, but she was younger so she was elsewhere. They simply don't have the friendship I do with him."
