Asurito chuckles and looks around her. "Do you see a lot of courtiers around here, Daidoji san? Honestly I rarely see one in any of the classes I take." She stops her training, as well. "I don't mind being the weirdo of the school, but sometimes I feel that it is disrespectful to my family. At those times I start studying all the things that I should have studying from the beginning, but it doesn't last long. The fields, the stadiums and the dojo pull me like a magnet."

He sighs.
"Yeah, I get what you mean. I just…I guess I'm trying not to think about it too hard. If I do, I start wondering if any of this is worth it."

"Any of what? Your training? Your weird hobbies? This school? Yourself?" The girl shrugs. "I cannot answer that. Sometimes I feel that I know all the answers. I am confident and I like the way I am. A few others, I forget everything positive. But that's life, no? A struggle against ourselves."

He breathes deep and resumes his repetitions.
"All I understand right now is I enjoy working with my hands. But I also know I don't have any of the usual skills folks look for in a Daidoji bodyguard. Which is what I want to be."

"Nah... Who doesn't want a yojimbo who is good with their hands?" She starts her own reps again. "As a courtier, I would totally choose you. We could train together and boost each other's confidence." She offers him a smile, even if he won't be able to see it while working out.
