Izumi smiled at her opponent's modesty, knowing perfectly well it was a case of superior skill. Her face showed a hint of disappointment as she hated losing but still she had learned a lot from the duel and knew she had improved. It also set her a goal, to beat the Kakita. She owed it to her parents and family to improve and she wouldn't let them down.
"It would be a pleasure" she replied, the smile still on her face.

Kobushi continued to watch, try to learn from what he was seeing. His Clanmate's easy victory and the displays of skill from the others made him sure he needed to brush up on his swordsmanship.

Isao looked around for Akodo Seijuro with a smile whom he had been assigned to spar with by their sensei. The young Crane looked eager and excited to practice with another Lion. |

Seijuro offered Isao a bow as he stepped forward, holding his bokken out to his to indicate he was ready. "Let's have a good match, Kakita-san." Once more, Seijuro seemed distracted by something as he began to strike out at the Kakita with his wooden sword. Maybe he just needed to warm up again after the small break between rounds. "Hai, Akodo-san!"He smiled broadly, readied his personal white oak bokken, and adopted a water stance. Isao immediately moved, quick and nimble, as he clacked bokken with the Lion, trading blows as he maneuvered until he landed a solid blow. OOC: Agility/Kenjutsu 22

Noboru rose slowly as he turned to Mirumoto Ryuha. He'd caught a bit of her conversation with Ichiro and shrugged as he entered the mats to take his stance against his 'cousin'. "Really? And here I thought they simply nominated the student that wins the tournament. Though I guess I wouldn't know since I've yet to join a single club." With that he bowed to Ryuha. "I look forward to testing myself against you, "cousin"." |
