"Oh... reading is... practically my only hobby," Yoshi admits. "History is one of my favorite subjects, either historical fiction or actual history books, but I'll read anything; Sci-fi, Fantasy, Romance, whatever. I like reading manga too; I am a member of the Anime/Manga Club, after all. The stuff at the public library was never current though, so I couldn't get as into them as the kids who could afford to buy new issues right away." Yoshi rubs the back of his neck a bit nervously, looking down the street to see if the bus was approaching. He hopes his talking about buying comics doesn't bring them around to talking about money again, as they'd already covered that to an extent, and he didn't want to end up making her feel bad about his having paid for lunch.

"Oh wow, I didn't know you were in the club. It will surely be up your alley then or at least the manga side will be anyway. I've never been too big into that area, but I do have a few series that I love and adore. If I had to name a favorite though, then it would certainly have to be mysteries. There's just something fun about trying to piece a puzzle together, at least until you have to do the leg work yourself. Book mysteries are fun, real life ones not so much," She informed him with a small laugh.
"I also like sci-fi stuff to, but I'm picky about it. Even more so than I normally am. There's only so much I am willing to suspend my disbelief after all."

"Yeah," he agrees, a small smile showing again how much he loved to hear her laugh and also how pleased he was that they shared such a passionate interest in reading. The fact that it seemed to also please her made his heart beat a little faster too. "I also like sci-fi stuff to, but I'm picky about it. Even more so than I normally am. There's only so much I am willing to suspend my disbelief after all." "Really?" Yoshi says, a little surprised to hear that, considering that they had essentially met over matters of belief. "I consider myself open to... a lot of possibilities. I mean, I've lived my life among shugenja while not being one of them. What magic can accomplish is simply beyond me, but... well, science and magic can both be applied to achieve... pretty fantastic things."

"Well, I feel like it's easier when they use magic and the kami. Stories involving that can have a lot of liberty, even if such a spell might not truly exist for Shugenja, or if the kami don't interact in such a manner shown in the text. It's honestly more the science for me. That's when I feel compelled to look up things and fact check it. But, honestly, it's never been something that ruins a book for me." She explained, not wanting Yoshi to think she was any less enraptured by the tales.

"Good to know you're not the kind of person to heckle a movie for its lack of realism as you're watching it," Yoshi says, chuckling at how that would've been quite a turn-off, but also thinking it was nothing like what he'd come to know of Tsuki's temperament thus far.
Before he can continue, the sound of the approaching bus comes from down the street, and he waits to say more until they've boarded and found seats. He lets Tsuki get on first, blushing that this gentlemanly gesture actually ends up giving him a good view of her backside. He must have been too nervous about tripping over his own feet to notice it before when they'd first caught the bus from campus.
"Are you very familiar with the city, Tsuki-san?" he asks her as it starts to pass by their window where they're sitting together. "Of course, you had all last year to explore it, but beyond that, I don't know how close you lived before coming to school here. I'm recalling just now, I asked you about meeting your parents when I called the other night, but we never got around to talking about how far I might have to go to do it."

"Oh no, if not for myself then certainly for anyone else watching it. It would be a bit rude to do that," Tsuki replied with a tiny laugh. She was glad he didn't think she was one to simply jeer at some play or movie while it was happening, but she would be the first to admit that she did like to fact check things.
Of course the conversation ends with the arrival of the bus. She politely thanks Yoshi for letting her on first and goes to find a spot where they can at least sit next to one another for the ride back. As Tsuki turned to look at him she could see the faint trace of red fading from his cheeks. How curious.
"I am actually. I have traveled to the city before, with my parents of course. They'd be up here for a time and so we might go see movies or plays, or look at museums, perhaps get something to eat. Not to praise my ego, but there's very little I don't know about the city." She answered him before moving on to the second part of his words.
"Mmm, well I think that would require either potent reason to bring you too them, or a coincidental meeting. It's probably not something to really worry about now. Though, they might show up for the Sakura Festival. I know mother insisted on going last year, so she'll probably be here again. Which means father will be as well."

"Worry about... look forward to... I guess they go pretty hand-in-hand for me most of the time," Yoshi admits, though his smile seems like he's doing much more of the latter. He also takes this not so subtle verbal cue of his own to take her hand in his once more, something he also was worried about her accepting but was also looking very forward to doing again.

She doesn't stop him from taking her hand and even offers him a small smile as he does so. Even if he felt that his woes and questions were mixed for him, she didn't think it detracted from Yoshi's own sense of beauty. "Do you worry a lot, Yoshi-san?" Tsuki curiously inquired, an innocent question laced with concern for another.

"Doesn't everyone?" he replies, quite seriously. "I mean... there's school, and the future, and wanting to make my parents proud, and not wanting to bring dishonor to the Clan... oh, and friends, but that's a new one... keeping those friends, generally making sure the people I care about are safe and happy, also making sure I don't upset people I don't know...." He trails off as he hears himself actually saying all these things out loud. He'd started just thinking he was naming off relatable worries that everyone had, but then the list grew longer and with no sign of stopping. He looks down at his lap with a sigh.
"Maybe I do worry a lot...," he admits. Brightening a bit and returning his focus to Tsuki, he continues, "I think I deal with it ok, though. I meditate; I used to do it frequently, but school has been keeping me busy. Also, I don't worry at all when... well... when I sing." He hadn't really meant to mention that rather secret activity of his, but there it was.

Yoshi's verbal list was a tad bit long and she would have likely told him that no, most people don't heavily worry about all those items, but his own enlightenment on the subject beat her to the punch.
"Wait, you sing? Oh my kami, Yoshi-san, I had no idea. I mean, if it helps then you shouldn't stop though. You have questions and I think those kind of things will help. Do you just sing melodies to yourself, or any specific songs when trying to not worry?" Tsuki inquires with a sudden, unabashed glee.
