"I like classic rock and pop songs," he tells her, his shyness at the admission melting away under the light of her enthusiasm. "Nothing obscure, just the hits from the radio. It really doesn't need to be anything in particular, I just... let myself experience the emotions of the song instead of whatever I'm feeling... kind of like an escape... or I guess also a release, because sometimes I sing something that's the same as how I'm feeling. Even then, it's just... simpler... easier... less complicated." He's smiling at Tsuki's interest but also feeling very flushed, to have exposed this much of himself even to her.

"I see," She replies to him, listening intently as he explained it to her. "My sister is a bit like that as well. She would often hum or sing songs she had heard on the radio or when browsing the internet. I always asked her what she was singing, since she knew more than I did, but regardless of when or where, she always seemed to find a sense of elation in the act, even if the song wasn't happy." She paused after a moment and shook her head.
"Apologies, what I mean to get at is, I understand where you are coming from. Music can move us, and I will admit, there's even times where a song has gotten me to tear up or feel excited. So, if you find comfort in singing, I think you should keep doing it. Plus, I bet you must not have to bad a voice."

"Well... I don't plan on stopping, but... I don't know how good I am, really," Yoshi tells her. "I only ever sing when no one's around. I mean, I was in choir as a kid, and I joined the Choir Club here at RHS, but... that way, I can just blend in with everyone else and not stand out." He was clearly torn about how much to share, caught between excitement at having connected with Tsuki on yet another level and his self-consciousness over letting anyone scrutinize this very private part of himself.

"Well, I don't want you to think I'm pushing you in a direction you have no desire for, but my sister is rather big into music and songs. If you ever wanted an honest answer, if you are willing, she could easily give you one. I myself don't have that sensitivity to music and voices like she does," Tsuki admitted and offered freely.

"It... sounds like you're pushing me in the direction of your sister," Yoshi says with a grin, lightly bumping his shoulder against hers teasingly. "I'd like to meet her some day too, of course, but... I'm sure she can't compare." He looks deep into Tsuki's eyes to punctuate the statement, still also quite conscious of the hand he continues to hold.

"For your voice, you tease," Tsuki shot back with a giggle, "But I wouldn't write her off. My sister is just as easy on the eyes as I am. Who knows, she might just cause your heart to skip a beat," She teased him back, giving him a a sly smirk.

"Not the way you do," he offers another sincere compliment before his grin grows to match hers. With a humorous tone as well, he continues, "But if she only looks just as good, not better, why should my attention stray? And since I only sing for myself, the fact that she might have a superior ear for music isn't a reason to consider her romantically either." He felt he was getting better at joking around, and he found it so easy to do now, with such a receptive audience.

"Even in jest, you are ever the loyal man to your heart," She noted to him, that sly smirk fading to a gentle smile. "But you be careful now, it might sound like you are saying my wonderful sister might not be up to par with me. I might even take offense."
She was of course feigning such words, which she made sure to exaggerate to Yoshi, so he knew it was all in fun.

"It's probably just that I know you better, so I know all your good qualities but none of hers," Yoshi muses, going along with the joke. He grins as another good one occurs to him, inexpertly telegraphing it but still continuing. "If I instead consider both your flaws... the only one that I know either of you have is the one you both share, inherited from promises made by your parents. After that's resolved... maybe I will look at her in a more romantic light... if her Lion fiance and my own have no objections." He grins mischievously, though he also secretly hopes that bringing conversation around to that topic again, even humorously, hasn't gotten too tiresome.

Tsuki feigned a look of shock at Yoshi, her hand covering her mouth before she gave him a small, playful shove. "That's way to bold, Yoshi-san. My kami, could you just think of how scandalous that could be, haha!" She let out a laugh, their joking around finally getting the better of her. It was a joy to go back and forth with Yoshi in such an innocent manner, whom she was every glad to know that he could handle a bit of teasing and jest from her. Even more he could return it in kind.
