"I guess that's what makes it so funny... because, I mean, not in a million years would I...," he says as he laughs along with her, it turning only slightly nervous as he trails off. He knew that he loved her laughter and had said as much, but usually it was much more restrained. To hear her simply let go with such unabashed joy made his heart and pride swell to new heights. Even Yoshi could tell that the mood and setting probably wasn't quite right for such an action, but he wanted so badly to kiss her in this moment that he could almost physically feel it. She might a bit as well, from the way his hand gripped hers just a little tighter.

She didn't actually notice it since she was still to busy trying to calm herself down from laughing and regain some sense of decent composure. This had not been what she expected by his earlier remarking of being more talkative on the bus ride back, but she would be a downright liar if she said it wasn't a nice change of pace. "I haven't really laughed like that in some time, and I honestly needed that. You can be quite the jokester when you aren't being so shy. Thank you, Yoshi-san."

“I’m glad I’m getting better at it,” Yoshi replies, “and you know I love your laugh. So... thank you.” As a compromise between the passion that had filled his heart and his sense of propriety, he punctuates his words by raising their clasped hands up and placing a brief kiss upon hers. Immediately, he seems almost embarrassed, returning their hand-holding to its less obtrusive place on the seat between them and looking around to see if any other passengers noticed. More importantly though, throughout all that, he never stops smiling.

He would have felt a sudden drop in temperature like that of an icy coolness against his lips. She hadn't expected it and her reaction was almost reflexive, but his kiss came quickly. He smiled and she gently but hastily pulled her hand from his as a heat rose in cheeks that knew only the color of fresh fallen snow. She looked away to hide it and perhaps in his own smile he might not, but shew was certain his concern would rise when she had pulled away their connection.

"I... I'm sorry... if I was too forward," he says quietly, only really registering the removal of her hand rather than the cold against his lips, since it had been so brief. He folds his his hands together in his lap, staring down at them with embarrassment and worry over possibly having offended her.

She had to take a breath to recompose herself lest she attempt a reply and stumble over her words like a newborn. After a slow breath and the flush faded, she turned her attention back to Yoshi. "I was a bit surprised by that. I didn't think you would do such a thing, so it just gave me a shock is all."

"I... intended for it to be... more of a pleasant surprise," he says, forcing a small smile as he looks back up at her as well. Her words and reactions still didn't make it completely clear to him if she'd taken offense or not.

Tsuki laughed softly at that. "My apologies then, for ruining that pleasant surprise," She replied, mirroring the smile he gave her. Her hands came to rest in her lap, the gap between them neither shrinking or expanding. The conversation had entered that natural lull, the soft hum of the bus's engine filling the gap in their conversation.

"Nothing's ruined... this has been perfect," Yoshi feels the need to reply before the lull indeed sets in. There isn't much ride remaining however, and soon the bus is pulling into campus, with Yoshi giving a small sigh at their time together drawing to a close. The stop is right at the edge of the dorms' parking lot, and once they pull up, even though Yoshi is on the inside seat with Tsuki at the window, he backs out so that she can precede him in disembarking.
"I... guess this is it," he says after the loud vehicle and anyone else who had gotten off of it with them are all gone.

She passed him first, the offer small and considerate, her smile and thanks given as they depart from the bus. With only the dorms now and the evening still to come, she stood across from Yoshi and smiled as he said the words that often begin all the goodbyes, even if for a short time.
"Yes... I suppose it is. Thank you for this, Yoshi-san. I have enjoyed myself thoroughly."
